William is a seasoned Financial Services Executive with over 30 years’ experience in the Banking and Insurance Sectors. He is registered as a Key Individual and Representative with the South African Financial Services Board for Long-Term Categories A, B1, B2 and C, as well as Short-Term products for Personal and Commercial Insurance Lines. In South Africa William served as the Key Individual for Standard Bank, Zurich Insurance Company, Zurich Life and COFACE. In Botswana, William is also registered with the Non-Bank  Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority as a Controller for BIC. William’s Core business specialties include: Sales Leadership and Management, Multi-Channel Distribution, Retail Banking, Mortgage Lending, General Insurance (Commercial, Personal and Specialist), Credit Insurance, Banc Assurance, Financial Services Marketing, Customer Management and Business Intelligence. William is also a certified Master Sales Trainer, as well as having been recognised for performance turn around within various sales teams including Absa, Standard Bank, Nedbank, Zurich and COFACE. William’s professional qualifications include: Higher National Diploma in Sales Management NQF6 Cum Laude, Two Management and Leadership qualifications from GIBS (Gordon Institute of Business Science), Insurance Simulation from SWISS RE in Switzerland, a Certificate in Banking Management from the Institute of Bankers and numerous functional training courses covering compliance, credit, sales, operations, foreign exchange, marketing and finance gained from Absa, FNB, Standard Bank, Zurich, Moonstone and  COFACE. As a National Serviceman with the School of Armour, William qualified as a Gunner and Crew Commander on Combat Battle Tanks and was deployed in various operations. He later served as a reservist Troop Sergeant with the Light Horse Regiment, an Armoured Reconnaissance Unit. William’s military awards include: Southern Africa Medal, Pro Patria Medal, General Service Medal, 1st Class Shot Rifle Proficiency, 61 Mechanised Operational Proficiency, 4 SAI Mechanised Infantry Proficiency and a Regimental Commendation in 2019 for “Exemplary Service and Dedication to the Regiment” from the Officer Commanding Light Horse Regiment.
