Across a diverse array of high-impact roles, her career underscores a commitment to creating enduring value and a better future for all. In her capacity as the Country Lead for Public Regulatory Policy and Stakeholder Engagement at Coca-Cola Beverages Africa Kenya, Susan occupies a crucial role in shaping policy and regulatory environments in Kenya and East Africa. Her strategic engagements has proven instrumental, driving successful lobbying efforts that effectively mitigate the impact of economic and tax regulations on the operations of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa.
As the Director of Public Affairs, Communication, and Sustainability at both Coca-Cola Beverages Africa and LafargeHolcim, she played a pivotal role in guiding the companies’ public policy, communication, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability strategy development. Her active involvement in sector working groups and contributions to policy and regulation development had significant and far-reaching impacts, particularly in areas such as energy and extractives, taxation, and environmental policy. She was instrumental in driving the development of social investment initiatives and establishing partnerships that actively championed economic inclusion. Her commitments supported women and youth-led businesses, reflecting a dedication to fostering positive societal impact.
Susan also passionate about developing people and this reflects in her wealth of experience in human capital management and promoting gender diversity and inclusive leadership.
Susan serves on several influential boards and councils, including PAKPRO a business member organization, that represents the industry’s joint collective effort to regulate post-consumer packaging, KEPSA Governing Council of Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) and Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) Women in Manufacturing and Beverages Steering Committees. She has also been advisor and executive council member at the Kenya Chamber of Mines, East Africa Business Council and AIESEC Kenya. Her expertise and dedication continue to shape responsible business practices and foster positive change across diverse sectors.
Susan is an alumni of Strathmore Business School Women Directors Leadership and Advanced Management Programs. She is a certified Executive Coach and Emotional Intelligence Practitioner.
