Michael Pryke is one of South Africa’s most experienced executive coaches. He is also a master facilitator, thought leader and international speaker on leadership thinking, leadership conversations and leadership behaviour.

He partners with Leaders and teams globally to build their capacity to navigate complex issues through the way they think, talk and work together.

Previously a Managing Director at FirstRand Group, Michael has become recognised for partnering with senior executives across all cultures to challenge current thinking, promote culture change and create conversational practices that build sustainable organisations. He is an acknowledged expert in Emotionally Intelligent Leadership, Communication Skills, and Presentation Professionalism. As a certified coach through UCT he is accredited as preferred coach for a number of multinational corporations.

Michael is a master facilitator and has conducted workshops worldwide. He partners with leadership teams to engage in meaningful conversations that ask the right questions, stimulating well thought-out answers, leading to effective behaviours and strategies. His successes include the orchestration of powerful conversations leading to corporate turn-around, integrating organisational silos, merging exco’s of newly acquired and changing businesses and re-shaping the values and culture of organisations undergoing transformation. His deep connection with Servant Leadership is exhibited through all his interactions.

He has been a key contributor to large-scale change interventions, notably the cohort coaching of Eskom’s top 100 leaders and the strategy creation and implementation for the Southern African Power Pool.

Michael employs the Integral Coaching methodology that recognizes the multi-faceted nature of human beings and addresses each individual according to their unique needs. He blends his experience and knowledge of what works, together with a deep understanding of leadership theory and practice to engage with clients in new ways to think about issues and innovate toward strategic goals. He is contracted by many large multinationals to co-design and integrate wide-scale strategy, coaching and culture change processes.

In addition to being published in business journals and presenting at corporate conferences, Michael is a South African Masters swimmer, art collector, writer and poet, bonsai gardener, SCUBA diver and a keen amateur chef. He and his wife Patricia have been married since 1973. They have two married daughters, both of whom are successful leaders within global enterprises.
