Dharshni Padayachee is a seasoned finance professional with a passion for people development and equality. Her 20-year career spans a multitude of experience across Finance, Operations and Technology and now Human Capital.

Post completing her articles at PWC she joined Rand Merchant Bank as an accountant in Group Treasury. During her 10-year career across Group Treasury and Global Markets finance, she filled numerous roles including Head of Finance and Head of Management Reporting. She then decided on a change in career path in order to pursue her passion for people, equity and the development of individuals to fulfil their potential. She is now the Transformation, Inclusion and Equality lead for RMB. In pursuit of an inclusive and equal workplace, she leads RMB’s gender equality initiative, RMB Athena and is a founding member of RMB’s first LGBT+ affinity group.

She is a certified coach and volunteers her time to assist young women navigate their early careers. She believes deeply in the pursuit of education as the key to unlocking the future and is currently completing her MPhil in Management Coaching. She holds a Certificate in the Foundations of Neuroleadership (cum-laude) and has completed the Insead Gender Diversity program.

She is a wife and mother to young sons and has a deep passion for her country. Creativity and family reside at her core. She believes that change is an active process and that every individual has a responsibility to be the change that they want to see.
