The Equal Representation and Participation Award celebrates organisations that achieve gender mainstreaming by setting clear targets, building women’s capacity, engaging men as allies, and establishing robust support mechanisms. The focus is on creating systemic change.
Criteria for Entries

To ensure entries align with the award’s objectives, submissions should provide detailed, evidence-based information addressing the following criteria:

  1. Setting Targets for Representation and Participation
    • Outline specific, measurable targets for increasing women’s representation and participation in decision-making structures (e.g., percentage of women in senior management, board roles, or committee leadership positions).
    • Provide a timeline for achieving these targets and detail progress made over the past 3–5 years, including baseline and current data.
    • Explain how these targets are integrated into the organisation’s governance framework, strategic plans, or diversity policies.
    • Provide evidence of impact, such as the number of women trained, promotions achieved, or specific contributions made by participants in decision-making structures.
    • Share measurable outcomes, such as changes in employee attitudes (e.g., via surveys)
  2. Guidance for Strong Entries
    • Be Evidence-Based: Use quantifiable data (e.g., percentages, participant numbers, programme outcomes) and concrete examples to demonstrate progress and impact.
