Teryl Schroenn
Teryl was the CEO of Accsys People Management Solutions, a subsidiary of Transaction Capital.
Her first choice was to be a journalist but a job offer at NCR opened up a career in IT, where she has been ever since. First as a programmer and then moving into Business Analysis. After a year’s travel around Europe and the USA, she was offered two roles at Phillips, one as a developer and one in sales. Just married, they needed to buy a house, so sales it was. IMM next, a few Marketing Management roles rounded out her interest of business as whole and she moved into general management, where she is today.
Teryl won the Gauteng Business Woman of the year in 2006. The company has won numerous awards for innovation and is the current holder of the TT100 Minister’s Award as well as having won the Women in Business Award at Gender Mainstreaming a few years ago. She is a regular conference speaker and writes articles mainly focused on business and women’s issues. She is very involved in a number of mentorship programs, including previously heading up the BWA mentorship committee.
She is married with 2 adult children and has been the CEO of Accsys since 2002.
