Nandi Manentsa
I am an HR Director within the Financial services sector. I have extensive HR experience spanning at least 30 years, and have held HR executive level posts in different companies for at least 10 years. I have worked in both local and global companies, in the private and quasi government companies. The longest tenure has been in financial services followed by the automotive industry and the least technology and communications.
My skills set include but not limited to:
• Diagnosis, concept design to implementation and monitoring in the organisational development space
• Integration of people management practices with business
• Adept at formulating something new or redefining what’s next in alignment with the new normal

Passionate about the upliftment of people to enable them to self-sustain. Nandi is both inspired by people who attain their goals against all odds; and intrigued by those who create something from nothing. She has appreciation of music, performing arts, reading books, watching certain sporting codes and generally curious about what is happening in the world.
Nandi has authored a book titled “Untimely Beginnings: memoirs of women who defied fate”. This book is a compilation of seventeen personal essays from local women who were younger than fifty when they lost their husbands through illness, car accidents, suicide and so forth. The stories amplify the journey of widowhood through grief, healing to purposed. Untimely Beginnings was published in June 2020, and it was a smashing hit. It made it to the August 2020 Women’s month picks of old and new books by local women, by Sewela Langeni, Book Circle Capital. The anthology was dubbed a ‘gripping read’ highly recommended by a book reviewer / blogger, Puleng Hopper.
