Nancy Biwott is a seasoned Kenyan professional in the fields of education, conflict management and international development with a focus on social justice- Gender equality, HIV&AIDS, and disability inclusion. She is passionate about inclusive development and has facilitated numerous training on the same in the various Kenyan Counties and across various African countries. She currently works in the sustainable business space with a Non-Profit Organization where she facilitates partnerships that will promote sustainability and decent work. She has previously worked with Palladium in the Social Inclusion space as well as with the Ministry of Justice, National Cohesion and Constitutional Affairs Kenya in the Department of National Cohesion where she was an instrumental player in the secretariat that developed the National Values and Principles of Governance policy (now Sessional Paper No.8 of 2013), and the National Cohesion and Integration policy (now Sessional Paper No.9 of 2013). Ms Biwott recently finalized a course on Applied and Professional Ethics with the University of Leeds, UK. She has presented papers at various conferences, including most recently at the World Community Development Conference WCDC 2018 at Maynooth, Ireland. She is part of a network known as Umoja na Usawa that facilitates sessions on social inclusion with various community and youth groups as well as providing trainings with different organisations. Ms Biwott also coruns a blog that highlights content and trends on social inclusion in addition to being a Board Member with the Tujiendeleze Youth Trust Fund that supports youth from informal settlements in Nairobi to gain livelihoods from vocational and tertiary education.
